    Love and Money

    by Dennis Kelly

“I’ll get a job and a house and the right shoes”.

David conducts an office romance by email. He has love at his fingertips but a shocking admission unravels his relationship.

Jess loves David and she believes that if she has a job and a house and the right shoes then happiness can be bought – but at what price?

A heart-wrenching black comedy that is set in a fractured and dysfunctional world of easy credit, bad debts and dark desires.

An examination of how love is destroyed by materialism… told backwards.

Dennis Kelly is an internationally acclaimed writer with his plays performed in over 30 countries. Plays include: ‘Taking Care of Baby’ (Hampstead Theatre 2006), ‘DNA’ (National Theatre 2008), ‘The Gods Weep’ (Royal Shakespeare Co. 2010) and the book for ‘Matilda the Musical’. His recent 2021 British comedy-drama ‘Together’ for BBC starred James McAvoy and Sharon Horgan.

Featuring Paul Moriarty from the original London cast!

    Damien

    by Aldyth Morris

The story of Father Damien de Veuster, the leper priest of Molokai and patron saint of outcasts.

In this passionate, one man show, actor Daniel Finlay channels the powerful stories of the challenges that Damien experienced while serving the community of exiled lepers on a remote Hawaiian island in the 1870’s and 80’s, until his own life was taken by the affliction on April 15, 1889.

He was born Joseph and received the name Damien in religious life. In 1864, he was sent to Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was ordained. For the next nine years he worked in missions on the big island, Hawaii. In 1873, he went to the leper colony on Molokai, after volunteering for the assignment. Damien cared for lepers of all ages, but was particularly concerned about the children segregated in the colony. He announced he was a leper in 1885 and continued to build hospitals, clinics, and churches, and some six hundred coffins. He died on April 15, on Molokai…. Pope John Paul II declared him beatified on June 4, 1995. Father Damien was canonised in a ceremony at the Vatican on October 11, 2009.

“In our own time as millions around the world suffer from disease, especially the pandemic of HIV/AIDS, we should draw on the example of Fr. Damien’s resolve in answering the urgent call to heal and care for the sick.”
    President Barack Obama

    In Memoriam

Alex Grey, funeral director and functioning alcoholic, has found himself suffering from a grave depression and sense of low self esteem. Haunted by the regrets of his past, he searches for understanding and fulfilment whilst finding support from his loyal colleague and brother Nathan, and Nathan’s witchy wife ‘Carol’.

Guided by a mysterious grave digger, Alex is pointed towards clues that the world he lives in is not what he thought it was. This hilariously dark comedy introduces us to some weird and wonderful characters whilst tackling some serious and sensitive subjects. There is strong language throughout and some themes that maybe unsuitable for children.
