Aphotic Flux
Mute
Three people dead. Silence. You are your own worst enemy. But did you do anything wrong?
Aphotic Flux, directed by Claire Raftery, explore Dostoyevski's 'Crime and Punishment' and sound and silence. Walk around this very physical performance. Negotiate dilemmas and witness fights which may or may not break out. Is it ever morally right to kill?

Aphotic Flux
At Aphotic Flux we are a group of young, hungry actors who have recently graduated university studying Acting and contemporary Theatre Making. We are a bonded group of 9 actors which decided that much of theatre and film relies on expositional music to ncreate an atmosphere and we are also fascinated by the thought of taking classic novels by wordy writers and putting our own silent twists on them.
Our first creation, Mute, was sell out at Brighton Fringe Festival also gaining a Fringe Guru recommendation of 'Bold Choice' for our opening night. Based on Dostoyevski's Crime and Punishment, we challenged ourselves to create a piece in silence, drawing on our physical training to create an experience for audiences. An openly promenade performance allowed audience to not only witness a world, but be apart of it.
