Studio & Space Hire at The Lantern Theatre, Brighton

The Lantern Theatre and its adjoining studio spaces are available to hire daytime, evenings and weekends for a wide range of creative and community activities in the heart of Brighton.

Whether you’re looking for a rehearsal room, creative workshop space, dance or yoga studio, drama class venue, meeting room or artistic workspace, our flexible spaces can be tailored to suit your needs.

All spaces are managed by ACT Brighton and are easily accessible from the centre of town and just a short walk from Brighton Station.

About

Spaces are available to hire daytime, evenings and weekends. Our spaces are suitable for a range of Dance and Drama activities as well as for meetings, teaching and training, Yoga, martial arts, youth groups and so on. We can also offer desk or office space for artists or art based companies. Spaces are available for regular or block bookings, please contact the office for details.

Studio Hire Rates

Weekdays up to 6pm: Lantern Theatre - £22 ph, Dance Studio and Grania Dean - £20 ph, AV Studio - £15 ph.

Evenings after 6pm and weekends: Lantern Theatre - £25 ph, Dance Studio and Grania Dean - £23 ph, AV Studio - £17 ph.

These rates apply for regular class/workshop/teaching use.

Commerical rates for film and photography are £30ph.

If you are a small theatre company or arts organistion (low/unfunded) please contact us for rates.

Payment is in advance to secure the booking.

Facilities include

wi-fi, tea & coffee making, social area.

Available on request and by arrangement (fees apply): Photocopying and printing, Projector, stand & screen, TV & DVD player, Laptop, PA System, Flip Chart, Paper & Pens, Stage lighting, Electric Piano, Piano, yoga mats, stage blocks, costumes and masks, Reception, Car Parking.

Cafe and Bar on site (when open) or for hire on request.

Is located at in Kemptown and is 5 minutes from the centre of town and 20 minutes walk from Brighton station.
