Fake It Till You Make It

Fake It Till You Make It

Anecdotes from life in the theatre, written and performed by Su Douglas.

Born into a theatrical family, her parents were the variety act José and Lee Street, Su has been involved with show business ever since.

As a teenager she attended Aida Fosters Stage School and was soon performing in the West End in a host of shows with the likes of Max Bygraves, Peter Sellers, Paul Scofield and Arthur Lowe.

In her twenties she married Carry On star Jack Douglas. It was a 25 year marriage that introduced her not only to the rest of the Carry On team but all of the major stars of the day.

Although she never stopped acting, after divorcing Jack she stepped up her career regularly appearing in pantomime, numerous TV shows, including  Coronation Street,  Casualty and Dr Who and on film in Carry On Columbus.

Her voice is known to thousands of children as Dilys Price in Fire Man Sam.
